Context. This is my first interview (before attending PMDojo to learn Fullstack Product Management. I wanted to share my past to compare my “product mind” then to my honed capabilities now.) for a Product Manager opportunity. I was approached by Beatport via WomenHack event. They felt I was a good fit for a Product Manager role they wanted to fill.
The Vision. Beatport is committed to starting accepting Cryptocurrencies as a payment method for music purchases starting from June 2021. The acceptance of Crypto transactions will open Beatport to creative opportunities through NFTs that can enrich the lives of artists and labels..
The Goal
Identify and pitch a scalable NFT solution that will complement the Beatport Catalog. Propose how you would implement such a solution to the Beatport Store and how this solution can be implemented across the group post MVP.

Defining our vision and highlighting the outcomes of leveraging NFTs.

Setting the tone for onboarding by looking at how others attempted to chart this course before us, and how we will support our Engineering team and other teams to integrate it into features.

Understanding our internal and external key stakeholders — makes it clear to understand how Beatport and partners will value from leveraging NFTs.

The ways we are generating money for Beatport’s business. While creating revenue for Artist’s listing their music on the platform.

Explaining what this type of coin is in the Crypto-universe key, as not all coins are the same.

It’s important to understand how this technology works, this allows Beatport to identify what abilities are available.
